Xiaomi 12, 12 Pro and 12X smartphones were introduced earlier this year. However, the Chinese company left the flagship model Xiaomi 12 Ultra “for later”. Recently, information about this gadget has been increasingly popping up on the network. According to a new leak, Xiaomi 12 Ultra will be equipped with a rear panel with eight cutouts for the main camera modules.
Insider @Slashleaks posted on Twitter a picture of the back of the Xiaomi 12 Ultra. Shown here is a large cutout for the main camera sensor, which is rumored to be the 1-inch Sony IMX989 or Exmor IMX800. The main sensor is surrounded by six more modules and an LED flash. The smartphone is expected to have a telephoto lens, an ultra-wide-angle camera, a zoom lens, a periscope, and two sensors with an unknown purpose.
The presence of eight main camera modules in Xiaomi 12 Ultra was previously discovered by the ITHome news outlet. The media published a render of the smartphone, as well as a corresponding case sold in China.
